Cougar Town axed by Chanel 7

Where has Cougar Town gone? It used to air on Chanel 7 Thursday  8.30pm

On April 29 Channel 7 axed Cougar Town after ratings plummeted. Cougar Town was launched in February with 1.4 million viewers and after 10 episodes only 626,000 tuned in. There is so much "crap" on TV surely they could have axed something else? It was only on for 30 minutes and often had a few good laughs!

Massive Attack Sydney Opera House Monday 15th March 2010

What a stunning night it was for a Monday as an eager crowd formed on the Forecourt of the Sydney Opera House to see Massive Attack. The perfect setting and stunning night as many of the crowd made themselves comfy on the steps, most remaining seated for the entire performance. Grungy industrial sounds combine with political messages and raft of performers kept everyone suitably entertained. Die hard fans were pleased that Massive Attack stayed true to their roots whereas some would of preferred the show to focus on an archive of old hits and favourites.

Twighlight at Taronga

The first album I ever owned was 'Super Trouper' by ABBA - when I was nine. With this in mind, I was looking forward to seeing Bjorn Again at the Twighlight at Taronga concert series. I took my 2 year old who seemed mesmorised by the Frida and Agnetha - dancing away to many of the favourites with fans of all ages.

Billed as Tour de Force - a tribute to Elton John and Billy Joel, Friday night at Taronga Zoo was shaping up to be a fun evening out. After the previous success taking my 2 year old to Bjorn Again last month, I was feeling quietly confident. We weren't running late and there were no tantrums in the car. Even had a picnic blanket this time.

Unfortunately, Elton Jack and Bigshot didn't seem to cut the mustard for my little one. He was more interested in the elephant that stood right behind us for the entire concert and spent much of the evening digging a moat in the mud around my picnic rug and asking when the ladies were coming out. Seems he's more of an ABBA fan.

Gavin and Stacey - UK TV Australia Monday 8.30 PM - 22nd March 2010

The first series begins with Gavin, 28, a young man living with his family in Billericay, Essex, arranging to meet Stacey, 27, a young woman living with her family in Barry, near Cardiff. Both have struck up a long distance telephone relationship in the course of their jobs, but have close family lives too. Stacey still lives with her widow mother Gwen (Melanie Walters), with her protective uncle and Gwen's brother in-law, Bryn West (Rob Brydon), living across the street. Gavin still lives with his parents, Mick and Pam Shipman (Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman).
