Character Assassination was the eighth solo album by recorded in 1994 and released on the Hot label.
I remember seeing Ed Kuepper at the Mosman Hotel in Sydney along with a vast array of other Australian bands that played there. I am probably showing my age but those were the days when you could show up to a pub in Sydney and see great live music.
This album is so easy to listen to, rhythmic and upbeat. It never fails to put me in a good mood and have fallen in love with it all over again. I wonder if Adam Lambert had heard Ed Keupper's version of Ring of Fire before he performed in on American Idol?
Ed Kuepper will replace Mick Harvey as the guitarist for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, after Harvey left the group amicably In January 2009.
