Cougar Town axed by Chanel 7
Where has Cougar Town gone? It used to air on Chanel 7 Thursday 8.30pm
On April 29 Channel 7 axed Cougar Town after ratings plummeted. Cougar Town was launched in February with 1.4 million viewers and after 10 episodes only 626,000 tuned in. There is so much "crap" on TV surely they could have axed something else? It was only on for 30 minutes and often had a few good laughs!
What is Cougar Town about?
Courtney Cox stars in the new series about a recently divorced woman (Jules) who is back on the dating scene. With a her best friend just entering into the wonderful world of parenthood Jules is trying to find where she belongs with a grown son and a new sense of freedom.
The change of circumstance lends for a lightly comical view of friendships and how they change when people's lives change.
Jules expose into the trials and tribulations of an aging woman is a little ironic as she looks amazing and better than most women in their twenties.
The love interests are light and amusing and the script is fast paced, slightly predicable, but amusing enough to keep you entertained.
They say 40 is the new 30 and Cougar Town gives further inspiration for the more mature women to not let age get in the way of a good time. Move over young sisters the cougars are on the town!
